The Leonardo Centre at Neston High School

We believe that each member of the community has a unique and equal worth. We foster mutual care, respect and ambition for all.
Together we strive for excellence. We aim therefore:
- To offer high quality education
- To foster a love of learning
- To engender a strong sense of shared responsibility and mutual respect
- To develop self worth and confidence
- To recognise we are an integral part of the community
Neston High School is a specialist college of Science and the Visual Arts. In taking the decision to develop these two specialisms at this 11-18 fully comprehensive school, reference was made to the extraordinary talents of Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519). This Italian artist, scientist and engineer was an all-round genius who is famous for his magnificent paintings and inventions.
It is this link that we chose to pursue and therefore, in 2007, decided to open our capital build project in the name of this true Renaissance man as an inspiration to others.
Within the grounds of the Leonardo Centre there is an outdoor eco-classroom, whilst in the building the resources comprise an eco-lab and a conference room which hosts an art exhibition gallery. In addition, there are two independent learning facilities, each with twenty-five personal computers and an overhead projector, ICT technical support is available upon request. The catering facilities can offer a variety of different menus for buffet luncheons and refreshments.
Organisations may hire the Leonardo Centre for conferences, meetings, workshops etc.
